The highly sought internet famous “Vampire Facial” is now available to book at Beauti Skin Clinic!
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma therapy, it uses your own blood to boost collagen production for a tighter, younger, smoother looking skin.
Vampire Facial is a non-invasive procedure, an highly effective treatment for premature wrinkles, high levels of sun damage, or anyone who wants to look younger and have a more even-toned complexion. It is also popular among people who want to improve hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
First, your blood will be taken during the treatment to be placed into a centrifuge to be separated into three layers: plasma on top, platelets and blood cells in the middle, and red blood cells at the bottom. The centre part is where PRP will be derived from, it contains a high concentration of platelets that will stimulate cell turnover to increase collagen and elastin productions of the skin.
To apply PRP on the face we use microneedling - short, fine needles to puncture the skin (but will only reach skin-deep). This process allows the PRP to penetrate deeper and helps to encourage the body’s healing mechanism.
After the Vampire Facial, your face will be red, you will feel like you got a sunburn, your skin should feel normal again within 24 to 48 hours and the redness will significantly improve.
For people who have sensitive skin, you may also suffer from mild bruising around your eyes and microneedling puncture sites, depending on how sensitive your skin is. It could take up to 7 days for your skin to completely heal after the treatment.
Avoid touching or applying anything on the face for 12 hours. Apply moisturiser regularly after 12 hours as the skin could become dry and flaky during the first few days. Apply sunscreen and avoid strong sun exposure in the first week after the treatment. Please make sure you avoid using any harsh ingredients on your skin during the healing process.
